Dr. Georgios Mylonas, coordinator of the GAIA project, and his colleagues at CTI had a meeting with the Directors of Environmental Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in Patras on Wednesday, 2/11/2016 at CTI premises. CTI team presented the GAIA project, its goals and its activities to Mrs Pinelopi Sakoveli and Mrs Ioanna Papaioannou. A fruitful discussion regarding the project and the pilot activities in schools in Patras followed. Such activities aim to ensure the effective and constructive implementation of GAIA scenarios in schools.
The Gaia trials in schools in Patras will also be supported through the Environmental programs with teachers working on them systematically. Moreover, the first GAIA Workshop for the schools in Patras and Leukada was arranged for 25th November 2016. Apart from the teachers and school leaders in participating schools and the Directors of Environmental Education, the Regional Director and School consultants will be invited to attend the workshop.
